The formation of a Black Brotherhood and sisterhood caucus was mainly dedicated
to the empowerment of the black working man and woman within the ATU, to assure
we have a voice within our ATU International Union so that our issues on the
local level and national levels would always be heard and addressed.
September 1, 2010 International President steps down and new appointments are in the making.

ATU Black Caucus Interim meeting at the 56th International Convention of the Amalgamated Transit Union - September 26th thru October 1, 2010 Orlando, Florida
It will be my pleasure to convene with each and every delegate of the Amalgamated Transit Union and especially the delegates of the ATU Black Caucus. At this meeting, we will have our election for officers of the ATU Black Caucus and also we will be hearing from candidates for the offices of International President and International Executive Vice President. At that time we will consider, at the discretion of the delegates of the Black Caucus, the announcement of endorsements for those offices, if any. We will also set a time for the delegates to come together for fun and fellowship on one of the nights during the week of the convention. I look forward to fellowshipping with you. See you at Disney World.
